IBF Servizi was established in 2017 by the BF Spa group as a partnership between Bonifiche Ferraresi and Ismea to provide precision farming and technological innovation services to agricultural and agri-food companies (of all size and location) and to the Public Administration. From the beginning its mission has been to increase the level of social, economic and environmental sustainability of all supply chains. IBF Servizi counts important partners among its shareholders, such as the Leonardo Group through e - GEOS and A2A Smartcity.

In 2021 IBF Servizi acquired the company Agronica, a national leader in the development of professional software for the agro-industrial sector, expanding its range of services and embracing the entire life cycle of food and all the components around it. At the end of 2022, the company was acquired by one of Italy's most important private equity funds, Nextalia, with the clear intention of making it an international sector champion, thanks also to a strategic collaboration agreement with Bonifiche Ferraresi Spa - which remained in the company structure - and CAI Consorzi Agrari d'Italia.

The R&D activities and generally all the activities provided by IBF Servizi are supported by a scientific board made up of important national and international universities and research centres such as: University of Bologna, University of Naples, University of Tuscia, University of Padua, University of Teramo, Michigan State University and CNR - IREA.
IBF Servizi è, inoltre, il partner di eccellenza per tutti quei soggetti che in questi anni hanno avviato percorsi formativi, a tutti i livelli, per rispondere alle sempre maggiori competenze che il settore agroindustriale richiede. IBF Servizi gestisce in Italia direttamente o per conto terzi circa 900.000 mila ettari e conta 80 collaboratori dislocati in 4 sedi
