Precision farming

Precision farming allows farms and agri-food chains to make the entire production process more efficient and traceable.Through the use of dedicated machines and software, all operations in the fields from sampling to analysis, soil preparation, sowing, fertilisation and harvesting are made more efficient enabling all operators to do the right thing at the right time in the right place.  The resulting benefits are enormous in terms of both quality and yield, by increasing farm income and its sustainability. By decreasing the CO2 equivalent* output by around 9% we have kept the yield at a constant level with a 30% reduction in the technical equipment use

In this comparative test, we used conservation farming techniques, replacing them with PTO implements, by using two sets of idle equipment and increasing the amount of fertiliser units.
